Kaka Track, St Arnaud

Kaka Track was the second track constructed by the Trust in Big Bush. It was designed to be an uphill track creating easy access to the top of Big Bush at 820m. From Teetotal Flat the track winds easily through native bush where there is prolific bird life, then tightens up and begins traversing back and forth across the hill in a series of switchbacks with some quite tight corners to gain height. After 2.8km you reach the Big Bush Track. Go right 1700m to the start of Duck Down and Rocky Horror tracks, or left 450m to the start of Flying Moa.
